June 2007 saw the inaugural meeting of the Alumni Association of Northern California in Tokyo. The Association brings together former Japan Society and Japanese Chamber of Commerce members with fond memories of Northern California to network and maintain their connections with the Bay Area. Heading up the organization are Former Consul General of San Francisco and Ambassador to Washington, Shunji Yanai as Chairman, and Takahiro Moriguchi, Chairman of JP Morgan Securities Japan, as President.
As Board Members visit Japan in the future, we hope they will meet with Association members to keep the connection alive and strong. In return, be on the look out for an Alumni visit to Northern California!
