SUMMARY:Monster Art Exhibition - Opening Reception Party
DESCRIPTION:*In-person Event \nOn November 18th\, the MONSTER Exhibition will be hosting an Opening Reception Party celebrating its first showing in San Francisco after New York\, Barcelona\, Paris\, and Tokyo. Join us in honoring 19 artists expressing their internal monsters through a diverse medium of art\, and enjoy artworks inspired by Japanese Monsters while mingling with wine and snacks. \nIn 2011\, Japan was devastated by the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami\, and artists united in support to create the inaugural MONSTER Exhibition in 2013. Since then\, the MONSTER Exhibition has been a selective art exhibition centered around the theme of “Kaiju” (MONSTER)\, or Japanese Monsters\, as a metaphor for natural disasters\, internal struggles\, and so on. \nThe exhibition aims to provide a cheerful experience for a wide audience\, rather than being a literal representation through a “Kaiju” incarnation. These days\, we face the occurrence of large-scale natural disasters both domestically and internationally. However\, we believe art also heals all of us. Currently\, we continue our work as a new art project while maintaining our original theme and charitable endeavors. The interpretation of “Kaiju” is left to the artists\, as it resonates within the unique context of Japanese culture and stimulates their imagination. \nDate & Time:\nSaturday\, November 18\, 2023\n4:30 pm – 6:30 pm  \nVenue:\n790 Pennsylvania Ave\, San Francisco\, CA 94107 \nAdmission:\nFree (Suggested $15 Donation)\n \nAgenda:\n4:00 – 4:30 pm  Registration\n4:30 – 6:30 pm  Program & Networking \n  \n\n__\n__In\n  \nIn Cooperation with \n\n\n\nVenue Generously Provided By \n\n\n\n\n\n
