ACCJ/NAJAS Business Leaders Series: Adobe and Japan’s Digital Transformation

September 27, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join us for a conversation with Adobe Japan President Tomonobu Kamiya to hear the story of Adobe’s success in Japan, including how it helped unleash the country’s creativity and is now riding the current wave of digital transformation. Adobe Inc., one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s iconic tech companies, was launched nearly 40 years ago in a Palo Alto garage with technology that spawned a new industry: desktop publishing.

Today, Adobe is not only a household name, thanks to products such as Photoshop and the Acrobat PDF, it is also a leader in creative cloud services, document productivity, and digital transformation. Adobe entered the Japanese
market almost 30 years ago and the country has become one of their most critical markets.

In this special virtual event, jointly hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan and the National Association of Japan America Societies, Kamiya will talk about the secret to Adobe’s success in Japan, how the company has met the unique and changing needs of the local market, and how it views the Japanese government’s plans for digital transformation. The program will be moderated by Japan Society of Northern California Chairman Larry Greenwood.
