On March 11, 2011, a magnitude-9.0 earthquake hit the northeastern coast of Japan, producing devastation on multiple scales. The tsunami it triggered wiped entire towns off the map and flooded the Fukushima nuclear plant, resulting in a high-stakes crisis that unfolded as the world watched. Join Consul General Hiroshi Inomata as he talks about disaster recovery efforts in Japan, eight months after the devastating earthquake.
