Japan Society remains the place to learn Japanese in the Bay Area! As our Summer 2020 virtual language session comes to a close, we are looking ahead to our fall session starting from later this month, and will be holding a virtual Open House via Remo, a fun online event platform that takes group-style networking online! Using Remo, participants are free to move between “tables,” where you can group up and talk via video with others. We will provide a section for general conversation and networking between current and future students, dedicated “会話(kaiwa)” tables where we will encourage practicing Japanese together, as well as a few tables for new students to conduct a FREE Japanese level check with one of our amazing teachers.
To further the networking portion of this event, we will be welcoming special guest speaker Kasia from Ikigai Connections to give a short presentation about using practical Japanese language skills in your career! Kasia is a trilingual American (in English, Japanese, and Polish) who runs Ikigai Connections, a blog, job board, and job advice service which shares her vast experience using Japanese in the workplace.
Whether you are a continuing student of ours looking to practice your Japanese and chat with others, or you are just starting to think about learning Japanese with us, there will be something fun for you at this open house!
