In Person Reception

On Thursday, August 24, Japan Society of Northern California in cooperation with Uber Japan will be hosting a reception for three current Members of the Japanese House of Representatives: Mr. Shinji Inoue, current Acting Liberal Democratic Party Secretary General, Mr. Kazunori Tanaka, former Reconstruction Minister, and Mr. Tatsunori Ibayashi who are all members of the “Food Delivery Caucus” – an important group in the Japanese Parliament that helps set policies regarding food delivery industry in Japan. They are coming to the Bay Area at the invitation of Uber, a company which has become as well known in Japan for its food delivery options as for its mobility services.

We will also welcome several members from Uber, the sponsor of this event. This is a great opportunity to welcome sitting members of Japan’s Diet and help them learn about the economy and environment in Silicon Valley, as well as to meet representatives from a leading new economy player that has made great strides in entering the Japanese market. This reception will be held on Thursday, August 24, from 4:30-6:00 PM in San Francisco.
