The popularity of Japanese knives is booming in the U.S. Join us at Perfect Edge Cutlery and Sharpening in San Mateo on September 14th for a deep-dive into Japanese knives, followed by an exclusive cutting demonstration! Whether you are a professional chef, an aspiring cook, or someone who’s never held a knife in their life, this event is open to all.

Come learn about the history of Japanese knives, special sharpening techniques, the many different types of knives (used to cut everything from sashimi to cauliflower), and the key differences between Japanese and Western knives. You’ll be a knife expert by the end of the day! 

Our amazing speaker is Tara Ransfer, knife guru and management consultant at Perfect Edge Cutlery and Sharpening.
