The Japan Society of Northern California will host our 2014 Annual General Members’ Meeting. This exclusive, members-only gathering is your opportunity to meet the Japan Society’s board members, staff and new Executive Director Tom Logan!  Hear about our plans for the future and learn about the art of Japanese whisky with Suntory.
Japanese Whisky has been taking the spirits world by storm in the last decade and has quickly moved from a little known ‘niche’ sub-category to one of the most awarded and fastest growing sections of liquor shelves in the West.
The House of Suntory has been at the center of this movement from it’s beginning 90 years ago with the founding of Japan’s first whisky distillery, Yamazaki in 1923.
Please join Suntory Brand Ambassador to the West, Neyah White, as we explore the story of Japanese Whisky through a tasting of barrel samples leading up a survey of the finished products.  This is a rare chance to experience not just the ‘what’s’ and ‘how’s’ of Japanese Whisky, but the ‘why’s’ of these storied and much sought after luxury brands.
