Experience the excitement and artistry of modern kite flying. You’ll find something for everyone at the Berkeley Kite Festival. From the Giant Creature Kites as big as houses, to the free Kite Making and Candy Drop for kids, you don’t want to miss this year’s Annual Berkeley Kite Festival.
The International Association of Tako Age (IATA) chose Matsuri as a theme to commemorate their 10th anniversary. They would like to share what a Japanese summer festival is like with attendees. And for the Japanese attendees who haven’t returned home for quite some time they hope to bring back fond memories of their childhood. This year they asked a few Japanese dancing groups to join them in a parade called NERI and have added a children痴 portable shrine called Kodomo Mikoshi.
IATA is a Japanese traditional kite flying group that plans to construct giant kites based on the theme -MATSURI- and fly them during the Berkeley Kite Festival.
