CAAMFest 2015

March 12, 2015 - March 22, 2015

The Center for Asian American Media (CAAM) has announced that CAAMFest, formerly the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival, will take place March 12-22, 2015 in San Francisco, Berkeley and Oakland. Rebranded in 2013 to reflect the Festival’s expanded ventures into the music and culinary worlds, CAAMFest is an 11-day celebration of film, music, food and digital media from the world’s most innovative Asian and Asian American artists. Highlighted films and special guests will be announced late January, and a full press conference will be held on February 12, 2015.
Entering its thirty-third year, the 2015 edition of the Festival truly embraces and showcases CAAM’s dedication to encapsulating the cultural media landscape as a whole. Along with its consistently forward-thinking film lineup, CAAMFest 2015 will also highlight an electrifying international music scene and its strongest food programming to date.  Kicking off with the 2nd annual CAAMFeast Awards: Stories, Food & You, CAAMFeast, the Festival’s food segment, will feature the premiere of three CAAM productions slated for national broadcast in the next year.
The 2nd annual CAAMFeast Awards: Stories, Food & You is a culinary awards ceremony and intimate cocktail reception co-presented by One Kearny Club. This year, CAAM is pleased to honor the Masumoto Family (Masumoto Farms), Danielle Chang (LUCKYRICE), and Tim Luym (Attic Restaurant) for their contributions to food culture. This one-of-a-kind event will feature tastings from popular restaurants/local favorites like Hakkasan, heartfelt honoree videos and an exciting live auction that offers sought-after experiences such as gourmet dinners, farm tours and travel packages from Saison, Eight Tables by George Chen, and the Mandarin Oriental to name a few.(March 7, 2015, from 6-9pm at One Kearny Club.
