Why is matcha popular in America? Do you often drink matcha, either by ordering it from a cafe or making it at home? With its rich flavor, high nutritional value, and the growing health-conscious trend in Silicon Valley, the matcha boom continues to grow in the Bay Area and beyond.
This event features two pioneers in bringing matcha to the U.S.: Eijiro Tsukada, who is CEO of World Matcha Inc., the company behind the Cuzen Matcha machine which allows you to enjoy freshly ground matcha at the push of a button; and Koji Yamada from Otsuka America, the company behind ekkomi, which is working to ritualize the matcha experience through an app that enhances mindfulness and focus.
We will also feature a tasting of matcha drinks and sweets atop modern Migusa tatami mats, which maintain the look and feel of traditional tatami with advanced Japanese technology making it more durable and easier to clean.
KitchenTown will provide surprise matcha sweets during the event. We definitely look forward to it!
Join us and learn about the journey of these matcha products an the future of matcha!
