Children’s Day in Japan is a beloved national holiday set aside to celebrate children and their joyous energy – come celebrate with us on the fields of Hidden Villa and learn about Japanese culture and the strong connection of Hidden Villa founders, Frank & Josephine Duveneck, with the Japanese American community.
Fun-lovers of all ages are welcome to join us for a Japanese-style Undokai (sports festival) and an afternoon of traditional arts, performances, crafts and activities such as calligraphy and origami, fun games like kendama, flower arranging and tea ceremony demos, farm animal visits and much, much more.
Food is available at an Asian fusion food truck!

About Undokai (Sports Festival)
The first “Undokai” sports festival was organized in Japan over 140 years ago. Today, nearly all schools in Japan hold such an event, and almost every student participates annually. Undokai involves the entire community and teaches the importance of physical activity and working together.
