JSNC Board Director Receives Prestigious Award

The Japan Society of Northern California was elated to receive the news that our very own Gala Chair, Ms. Nobuko Saito Cleary, is one of the recipients of the 2022 Autumn Conferment of Japanese Decorations. Ms. Cleary is being recognized for her diligent work in introducing and promoting Japanese culture in the Bay Area for decades, and has been awarded by the Government of Japan the distinguished decoration of Order of the Rising Sun, Silver Rays. Other than serving on the board of the Japan Society, Ms. Cleary is also the Event Chair of Japanese Cultural Day at Hidden Villa, the Chairman of Japanese Cultural Programs at Tateuchi Hall at the Community School of Music and Arts, and many more.
