2022 U.S.-Japan Healthcare Connection: Well-being Innovation Forum in Awajishima

(Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Group CEO: Yasuyuki Nambu) and the Japan Society of Northern California (NPO) will hold the “Japan-U.S. Well-being Innovation Forum 2022,” an event to introduce the latest trends in “well-being” and promote exchanges between healthcare venture companies based in Silicon Valley and other regions and healthcare-related companies and local governments in Japan. The event, “Japan-U.S. Well-being Innovation Forum 2022,” will be held on November 2 (Wednesday) on Awaji Island, Hyogo Prefecture, with the aim of introducing the latest trends in “well-being” and promoting exchanges between healthcare venture companies based in Silicon Valley and other regions and healthcare-related companies and local governments in Japan to create a new industry.
In the United States, where the use of AI and digital technology is advancing, the digital health market is expected to grow to US$549.1 billion by 2030, and numerous healthcare ventures have been established in Silicon Valley. In Japan, the focus of attention is on industries related to well-being, which aims for mental, physical, and social health, in preparation for the Osaka-Kansai Expo to be held in 2025.
This forum will feature a keynote speech by Andrew D. Cleeland, CEO of Fogarty Innovation, a U.S. startup support company in the healthcare field, as well as a panel discussion with experts on themes such as “future medicine. In addition, there will be “networking” opportunities for healthcare venture companies based in Silicon Valley and other regions that are considering entering the Japanese market to interact with healthcare-related companies, local governments, university researchers, medical professionals, and others participating in the event. We will aim to create a new industry with a dream toward the realization of well-being.
