Breaking into Japan’s healthtech markets offers enormous potential, but also significant challenges for startups. Hear from senior executives at the forefront of their startup journey from US-based early-stage life science companies as they share why Japan is critical to their growth, their strategies for market entry, and the challenges they face.

Mark Amouzgar, CEO of March Health, and Alex Yoshikawa, Co-Founder and CSO for Adaptyx Biosciences are paving the way for healthtech startups entering Japan. Join us for their perspectives on Japan’s healthtech and life science sectors, how they have navigated market entry, and the lessons learned from their entrepreneurial journeys.

The event will be moderated by Steve Pollock, President of Japan Society of Northern California and presented in partnership with the U.S.–Japan Healthcare Connection, a healthcare-focused program initiative of the Japan Society of Northern California.

Speakers:
Mark Amouzgar is the CEO of March Health, a Series A company specializing in women’s health. The company uses an AI-powered platform and digital twins to diagnose and treat women’s health issues, including infertility, endometriosis, and other gynecologic conditions. The company was selected for Techstars Tokyo in 2024.

Alex Yoshikawa is the Co-Founder and CSO for Adaptyx Biosciences, a seed stage company founded from Tom Soh’s lab in Stanford University. The company is building a platform for continuous molecular monitoring to enable earlier intervention and improved disease management, with an initial  application targeting heart failure. Adaptyx Biosciences is seeking strategic partners in Japan in the areas of advanced sensing technology, manufacturing, and clinical research.
