Learn Japanese with Manga! (For All Ages)

*This online workshop is for all ages!

Do you love manga? Interested in learning Japanese? Join us this summer to learn the language through your favorite stories! In this fun and interactive workshop, you will:

Learn basic Japanese using a manga book (The manga book is TBD, but may be My Neighbor Totoro)
Share one of your favorite mangas with the group during the session
Meet fellow manga fans and make new friends

Dates: Starting on July 14 from 5-7 PM, 4 Monday Sessions (No session on July 28, ending on August 11th)

Fee: $200 

Venue: Zoom

*This workshop is for all ages. Beginners are welcome, just bring your curiosity and love for manga! However, please note this workshop is meant for those who already have a basic foundation in Hiragana/Katakana.

Our Amazing Teacher

MS. CHIAKI VANASUPA

Vanasupa-sensei has been teaching Japanese for over 12 years and holds a California Teaching Credential. After living in different countries and working as an interpreter and translation for many years, she realized that teaching Japanese language and culture is what she would like to pursue as a life time career. Her focus is on business Japanese conversation and cultural differences in business while utilizing her work experiences in Japan. She received her BA (Hons) in Sociology, MA in International Studies with Research Training from University of Reading, UK, and MA in Translation and Localization Management from Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.
