About Our Individual Membership
We are committed to providing you with timely, informative programming, and a meeting place for dialogue and friendship with others who share your interest in and passion for all things Japanese.
Our memberships are non-refundable, non-transferrable donations to the Society. Since we are a registered 501(c)3 tax-exempt, non-profit organization, it is possible that this contribution can be deducted from your taxes; please consult with your tax advisor.
A membership lasts for one year from date of purchase, and is required to take our language courses. Having a membership also grants you the opportunity to attend certain events at a discounted rate, and get invited to exclusive programming. Thank you for your support to the Japan Society!

*Membership payments are on an auto-renewal basis. Be careful when you cancel, since our memberships are non-refundable and the cancellation will be effective immediately.

- Admission discounts can only be guaranteed for programs put on by the Japan Society of Northern California.
- At times, we co-sponsor events put on by other organizations; the admission prices of those events are at the discretion of the event host.
- Pricing for special events not subject to member or student discount.
